What this guide covers

Used engines on this site are donor units that have been inspected and photographed in Hamburg. Mileage is the figure recorded for that unit, not a rounded claim for the whole family.

A used engine is the practical choice when the car needs a complete replacement and a new unit is not required. It still has to match the VIN.

Fitment

Used stock follows the same fitment rule as every other listing. Year, gearbox, and engine code have to agree with the car.

A low figure on the odometer does not correct a wrong flywheel or a different cooler circuit.

What the workshop checks

Oil condition, the sump, and visible damage are reviewed before the unit is listed. Compression is compared cylinder to cylinder when the test was run.

The donor history is what the workshop has on file. If a reading is missing, the listing does not invent it.

How to choose a listing

Compare two used units by code, year, photographs, and price. Do not compare them by the model badge alone.

Warranty

Eligible engines carry a warranty of up to 12 months after a correct installation by a workshop. The warranty covers eligible internal failure. It does not cover a mismatched fitment, a dry start, the wrong oil, or damage caused after the crate is opened.

Shipping

Door-to-door shipping from Hamburg is a flat 299,00 €. The engine is packed for freight and delivered to the address on the order. A forklift or an engine crane is required at delivery. The shipment is arranged to the destination the buyer provides.
